Ottawa, Canada will gather Bishops, Confraternities & Shrines
under the motto, “My Soul Magnifies the Lord.”
Dennis Girard’s talk at the VI Pan-European Forum was a prophetic and pastoral call to unity through Marian devotion. His words reminded us that Our Lady does not simply inspire – she mobilizes. As a member of the Vatican Archconfraternity of Saint Anne of the Parafrenieri, and as a member of the Steering Committee of the Pan-European Forum of Confraternities, I can say with joy that Dennis is one of the pillars upon which the future Pan-American Forum of Confraternities will be able to build.

I was really moved by your talk during the 6th International Forum of Confraternities (Rome, 15 May 2025) and completely agree on your proposal on promoting a Pan-American Forum in the coming future. As you, I am convinced of their importance in today’s secularized society. Confraternities represent a perfect example of the popular piety of which the late Pope Francis gave us constant examples, and Pope Leo XIV has recently marked as one of his priorities. Moreover, the central role of our Lady will be an assurance that the work of the confraternities reaches the hearts of so many. My best wishes in your endeavours!
